The Upwey Community Market, run by the Upwey Community Group, is a vibrant mix of fresh produce, baked goods, foodstuffs, doggie treats, plants, trinkets and a wide range of hand, crafted items plus much, much more.
Held every 4th Sunday of the month in the village green area behind the Main Street shops, the market is a popular destination for both locals and visitors. It’s a great place to browse and buy, catch up with neighbours and friends, have a coffee or grab a tasty bite to eat while listening to the sounds of local musicians.
The market has been a fantastic success with each market attracting a great turnout of both locals and visitors Launching with just 28 stall holders, there are now regularly between 40-50 specially selected sellers, offering plenty of choice for market goers. The positive and happy vibe which surrounds the market only adds to Upwey's reputation as a friendly and welcoming place to be.
The market is also disability friendly with a gentle slope, good access, disabled parking and accessible toilet facilities.
With plans for special themed markets and events, including multicultural days plus so much more, the future of Upwey Community Market looks bright. Definitely a 'must go' monthly date for the calendar!
