Join Upwey Community Group
The UCG Beautification Working Group is made up of volunteers from our local community who love living in Upwey and have a passion for preserving the beauty of our environment and enhancing the pride we have in our township.
Our aim is to beautify our Main Street and adjoining parkways and carpark areas – making Upwey an even more inviting and attractive place for both local residents and visitors. By maintaining Upwey as an attractive and welcoming town, we are also encouraging people to shop locally and support our Upwey traders.
Our bimonthly working bees are fun and not hard work and jobs are made much easier with any extra help, so if you can lend a hand, for any amountof time, we would be most appreciative. Some of our working bee tasks are:
removal of rubbish and litter from Main Street and surrounding areas
maintenance of community garden spaces
erection of festive decorations around the township each December
general tidying up of the Main Street and surrounds
... and then, after all the hard work, we enjoy a welcome drink and social catchup!
