Upwey Billycart Races

Starting in 2006 as a local initiative to bring life and energy into the town, the races are a not-for-profit community event coordinated by Upwey Community Group volunteers.

Scores of volunteers from various Upwey community organisations all come together to run the event including the CFA, Scouts, Football and Netball Club, RSL and UCG.

The event receives major financial support which is crucial to its running. The UCG would like to thank the Dandenong Ranges Community Bank Upwey Branch and Yarra Ranges Council for their continued support and generous sponsorship of the event over the years.

Many local traders, community groups and individuals contribute prizes, expertise and time that is invaluable to the running of the event.
